Tiers of Trauma
Lebanon’s collapse was decades in the making, fueled by corruption and negligence, and came to a head with the Beirut explosion on August 4, 2020. The disaster struck amid an economic meltdown and the aftermath of the October 2019 protests, shattering hopes for change. Since then, the country has faced worsening conditions, mass emigration, and political stagnation. “Tiers of Trauma” documents the protests, the explosion’s aftermath, and the daily struggle of a nation caught between resilience and despair.
