This project was created with support from Magnum Foundation, the Prince Claus Fund and the Arab Funds for Arts and Culture.
“Shedding skin” explores the intricacies of masculinity in Lebanon by focusing on AUB Beach. As one of the last public beaches in the country, this bloc of concrete is home to sun tanners all year long. But it only hosts men, creating an almost homoerotic bubble in a deeply patriarchal society.
